IN THIS LESSON

Welcome to Tai Chi! This sequence was developed by Dr Paul Lam, a physician in Australia. Despite its title, it's a good routine for both beginners and experienced practitioners. Following the Sun style method, it's gentle on the joints and has been found to be very effective in improving strength, flexibility, posture, and balance.

The main principles of tai chi are movement and control, using slow movements against a gentle resistance, integrating mind and body; body structure through maintaining upright posture with weight transference; and the internal components of gentle loosening of the joints and mental quietness.
